Slieve Donard Hotel and Spa

A beautiful hotel in a perfect spot overlooking the sea and the Mourne Mountains. The rooms in the new wing are luxourious and spacious (lots of room for a travel cot a long way away from the enormous bed)!

I was treated to a spa day with full use of the spa and 2 hours of treatments. The spa is peaceful, clean and restful. Sitting in the jacuzzi you look out over the mountains and the sea through an enormous picture window, absolutely perfect.

As well as the spa there is a gym and a pool.

The lighthouse bar is great for light lunches, again with the most breathtaking views and a roaring fire in the winter.

I've been back to Slieve Donard a number of times and it still remains my absolutely favourite place.
