"We spent 3 nigts here over the August bank holiday."
13-Oct-2009
We spent 3 nigts here over the August bank holiday. It was absolutely the best family holiday we have had.
It was great to be able to relax in peace and enjoy an adult meal and conversation whilst my son was having a fab time in the kids club. The kids high tea was good although not quite organic and brown rice/wholemeal pasta, but what the heck its a holiday.
We had an interconnecting room with the biggest bed I had ever seen in our room and bunk beds as well as a single bed in the childrens room. The bathroom was huge with bath and separate shower.
There was also a large hall type area in the room which was perfect to leave the pushchair without having to fold away.
We took a little fridge from argos and took my daughters food in that as she was just weaning, so didn't ask about food for under 12 months.
Overall it was brilliant value and I really liked the fact that the price we paid was Dinner bed and breakfast as well as childrens high tea and inclusive child care.
I think you can get childcare for under 2's at an extra cost but we kept our daughter with us.
Plenty to do and see in surrounding area but also plenty to do in the grounds.
Definately going again next year.Read moreLessMumsnetter fgpl

"Large hotel and spa in the Perthshire countryside but close"
21-Jul-2009
Large hotel and spa in the Perthshire countryside but close enough to other places of interest. Treatments are reasonably priced and it's VERY child friendly with lots for them to do while you're being pampered though they would need to be 2+ to take full advantage including the free childcare included in the price. Also perfect for older children. Can stay in the hotel or in one of the self catering units in the 900 acre estate. Lots for Dads too with quad biking, golf, lazerquest etc. Nice pool but also second child free facility. Often has midweek deals so keep checking!
Rooms look recently refurbished. Cot provided was in good condition. Also provide changing mats, trainer seats for toilets etc if required.
Only negative was availability of babyfood - packed lunch and high tea provided for children but doesn't cater for 6-12 months although to be fair I didn't ask.Read moreLessMumsnetter Dibbdobb
