"My friends and I descend on Aqua Sana at Centre"
22-Dec-2010
My friends and I descend on Aqua Sana at Centre Parcs in Sherwood Forest every springtime for a well deserved post-christmas mummy break! We have done so for 7 years now and its a marvellous way to completely get away from it all.
As we go over a weekend, its approximately £198 per person and this enables you to stay in a twin bedded, one bedroomed house in the Executive style. These are comfortable and have all you need for an overnight stay. they are situated immediately behind Aqua Sana so not far to stumble after a day of relaxation!
As part of your overnight break, you are offered refreshments on arrival (at around 10am on day one) and are greeted by a member of staff who gives you your keys, £20 Centre Parcs vouchers - meant to cover evening meal costs but we rarely bother! - and details of your treatment times. We have had back massage/facial combinations and the Elemis Dry Flotation (which sadly they no longer offer) and everything has been wonderful.
Lunch is included in the price, including a sumptuous cake which you can choose to have later in the day for afternoon tea. Breakfast the following morning is also included.
There are i think, 13 different room experiences as well as waterbeds, loungers, the pool, and a terrace with fur throw covered steamer chairs, perfect for cosying up on whilst listening to the rain, as we tend to get in March!
All in all, its fabulous value, all you need is your swimsuit and overnight things. we all completley switch off and cannot wait until the autumn when its time to book again!
Worth noting you can use the entire facilities of CP while you are there, including free cycle hire, but we never bother!Read moreLessMumsnetter MissileToe

"Entrance to the spa is only £5 if you are"
07-Aug-2009
Entrance to the spa is only £5 if you are pregnant as you can not use the hot rooms but you can use the relaxing areas, pool and water beds whilst feeling you are not missing too much.
The pregnancy bump treatment is lovely and relaxing and it makes you and bump feel pampered. Reflexology is also excellent. The serail mud bath is good fun but do lock the door if you want to get frisky (you are advised not to lock door in case of emergency but if there are two of you in there surely someone can open door if needs be). Lunch in the conservatory is delicious.Read moreLessMumsnetter charleymouse
