"I have stayed here several times since they first opened…"
07-May-2011
I have stayed here several times since they first opened in the mid 80s so have seen it both as a child and as a parent. We returned again for the umpteenth time this easter for a week and had yet another wonderful trip. The cottages are all clean though perhaps the decor in some a little old in style. They all have microwaves and dishwashers plus the usual kitchen cooker pots/pans/plates etc. One or two have a washing machine and tumble drier but for those that don't there is a laundry room on site that is free to use. There is a lovely outdoor play area for children and a small indoor soft play area too. An indoor pool with childrens pool, plus a jacuzzi and sauna make this great for all ages. My children especially loved the childrens farm barn where they are able to go twice a day and help to feed and look after the animals in there. Kevin is keen to ensure all the children get a turn too so even the quiet ones will be given a task without needing to be the loudest one in the pack! (Though there are quiet a few cottages on site and a few off site too) the place does not feel like it is overcrowded and you are not living in eachothers pockets. It is very close to Wadebridge (driving) for shopping plus an out of town Tesco, a local village post office for the occasional supply (walking) and a village pub that does reasonable food. Stair gates, cots and high chairs are provided free of charge but just check when you book re the stair gates as not all cottages have stairs that will fit the gates. We will be back for sure.

"We stayed at the olde house at the start of…"

We stayed at the olde house at the start of the summer, really good place. Close to rock and polzeath, so we could go surfing every day (shame about the weather) Kids loved going with Kevin in the mornings and feeding the animals. Good pool and loads for the kids to do. Recommend going on the farm ride around the fields on a tractor and trailer. The cottage was large with free-view and wifi, excellent. Will be going back next year. Brilliant if you have children. There is a pub in the village, which does great food and accepts kids.
