"Great place for exploring and for relaxing.…"
We stayed 3 nights in Pippin cottage - it was lovely and well-equipped, and more importantly, just next to the indoor swimming pool. The pool was great (though watch out for the slippery floor!) We walked to the Tor through the fields. The view is stunning, the people friendly. We missed pizza night though ... Will have to go back for that ...Read moreLess
"Fun, relaxed welcoming getaway for all the family…"
This is a gem of a place. Charming cottages provide a relaxing comfortable base to explore the gorgeous country side with the Tor a short fun walk with stunning views just behind our cottages. The indoor pool was a welcome relief when it was raining. My girls loved feeding the animals with Jill the owner who was hospitable and welcoming. Looking forward to returning in the summer and enjoying pizza nights on wednesdays from the open air oven. A place to relax, make friends or retreat in to the stunning landscape.Read moreLess

"Great twin toddler friendly holiday…"
We stayed at Middlewick in Tor View cottage with our twin toddlers and cannot recommend it highly enough.
Jill and Jonathan were brilliant. Very welcoming and helpful with anything we needed but not in your face or around too much when we didn't want them.
Jill was kind enough to give me a tour of all the cottages and I want to stay in all of them! We were in Tor View which was perfect for us this trip with the open plan living, kitchen & dining and the views cannot be beaten. We're going to make it an annual holiday and I think we'll try Orchard View next, then Meadow Barn, then Bramley... you get the idea. They all looked fab and if we ever manage to get there without children then Appletree is gorgeous.
Definitely a great spot for staying with children, which may have something to do with Jill having founded Green Baby? It's worth pointing out that they provided cots and highchairs and had two of each which lots of places we looked at didn't.
The girls loved feeding the resident chickens, goats, horses and pigs and patting the dogs and cats, not to mention running around on the grassy lawns which they don't get in our London flat. And the pool was a huge hit.
The location is great - it feels peaceful and remote but it's a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive to Glastonbury - and there are loads of things to do or or not do as you choose within an hour or so. We chose not to this trip and spent most of the time at Middlewick enjoying having a garden.

"Back for a third stay at Middlewick and delighted to…"
Back for a third stay at Middlewick and delighted to find even more to entertain us this time. There is an assortment of animals including goats, horses, chickens, ducks, cat, dog and pigs at Middlewick.
We stayed in a different cottage this time and we love how each cottage has it's own unique feel and character.
A newly opened farm shop on site catered for all our needs with organic, local and well priced food stocked.Read moreLess

"In May this year my husband, daughter & I stayed…"
In May this year my husband, daughter & I stayed in Meadow Barn at Middlewick Cottages. There are numerous cottages to choose from at Middlewick but we were extremely pleased to be staying in Meadow Barn. It is both quirky & full of character. The sleeping accomodation is on the groundfloor with the living room & kitchen upstairs. The views from the lounge are wonderful & the upstairs balcony is a lovely feature. The whole set up at Middlewick is great with the swimming pool, stables & the wonderful walks available in the surrounding countryside. The owners could not be more welcoming. We would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to stay in Meadow Barn. We certainly will be booking again.Read moreLess
