"We spent a lovely week in this delightful cottage. The…"
We spent a lovely week in this delightful cottage. The owner was so helpful from the point of booking until our last day and was extremely thoughtful as to what we and our 14 month old daughter would need.
The cottage was very well equipped, the kitchen being more than a 'home from home' with everything that you would need. It has been refurbished beautifully and it made eating in very easy.
The village itself has a very friendly and well stocked community shop/cafe and we did not need to visit the supermarket at all. With the bus stop being a few metres from the house, the regular bus route to Bath was used frequently by us and our daughter loved it.
All in all a perfect retreat for a family.Read moreLess
"We have just come back from an amazing week's holiday…"
We have just come back from an amazing week's holiday at this beautiful cottage.
The cottage sleeps 5, plus a baby, and everything you could imagine has been thought of by the owners...stairgates, highchair, children's crockery, a box of toys and books, blackout blinds...and that was just for the kids.
We were greeted on arrival by the owner and a lovely plate of home made brownies, plus lots of information on local places to visit.
The cottage itself has just been refurbished, so is immaculate (but not in a scary, don't want to let the children move sort of way) and the new kitchen is the stuff of dreams. There is a lovely garden and a playground 5 minutes walk away, next to the community shop which was remarkably well stocked, freshly baked pastries each morning, local foods, etc.
The area itself is packed with places to go - we had a list of what we wanted to see and only managed to get through half of it - definitely an excuse for another visit!Read moreLess
