"A fabulous glamping holiday - Camping but not as you know it!…"
We had been procrastinating about coming to Le Camp for around 4 years - my fear of creepy crawlies may have had something to do with it - however we bit the bullet and returned last night after the most wonderful week.
We stayed in an amazing safari tent with a lovely king sized bed, proper linen and n excellent camp bed with proper mattress for our 11 year old son.
Within an hour of arriving he had been consumed by the other children and spent a blissful week roaming the grounds, swimming in the pool and generally going a bit feral !
We meanwhile set abut making lunch in the open air kitchen and sat down with other families abandoned by their children to drink some lovely wine, good food and great conversation.
There were so many lovely things to do and see in the area we Kayaked, mountain biked, shopped at the most amazing markets and jut chilled…
Sally and Stephen were most gracious, helpful and delightful hosts…around when you need them but not around so much to cramp your style!
There were a few creepy crawlies - but I dealt with them (or else i enlisted someone else to) but the level of relaxation we achieved here we have not done elsewhere in places far more luxurious and 5*.
WE made friends had loads of laughs much fun and I couldn't recommend it highly enough!Read moreLess
"The most magical family holiday we have ever had…"
Le Camp - www.lecamp.co.uk is really the most incredible find. We had the most wonderful holiday with our two kids aged 6 and 8. There are only 6 tents so enough people for your children to make great friends but not too many for you to worry about letting them run around on their own. THE MOST AMAZING POOL - it is a natural swimming pond, I have never experienced anything like it, so incredible. Fabulous tents, stylish and luxurious. Loved cooking in the kitchen every night with all the mums and dad and the best equipped self catering we have ever had. The hosts have young kids so really get it and Stephen does impromptu camp fires, stick whittling, wild boar hunts and rides in an old pick up, which the kids just love. Local area is stunning with tons to do especially the canoeing and the markets. Breakfast was amazing and a real highlight of the kids' day, and mine as Sally does the best caffe lattes! To summarise, we booked for the following year whilst we were there and the kids were in floods of tears as we left!Read moreLess
