"We keep going back!…"
We have been to Casa San Gabriel at every stage of our married life. 8 years and 3 young children later (Now 6, 5 and 2 1/2) we are still going and it still has so much to offer!
Chrissie and David are fantastic hosts, they are genuinely interested in their guests and go out of their way to make sure that you have the perfect holiday! As parents they understand the difficulties of travelling with kids and are brilliant at anticipating your needs - from kitting you out with all the baby kit, fantastic advice on where to go and what to do, white wine chilled and waiting in your fridge to convivial and memorable pizza evenings where the kids can get properly stuck in!
They are brilliantly situated and we have always found loads to do. Golf, playing at the lake, hiking, enjoying gelatos in quaint mountain villages, meandering through Assisi, Gubio and Perugia and just lolling at their magnificent horizon pool (fenced etc) so actually you don't need to go anywhere at all!!
Totally recommend it!!!!Read moreLess
"The most beautiful valley in Italy…"
We have visited Casa San Gabriel twice: in 2007 as a couple and in 2013 with a 2 year old and new baby. It is a dream. It is set in a beautiful, peaceful valley and you feel as though you have escaped from the rest of the world.
The accommodation is very comfortable and well thought out, and when we visited last year with our sons, Chrissie and David provided us with all the baby and toddler equipment we could possibly need- including a padded rug to lie the baby on the floor and a ride-on tractor for the 2 year old!
The pool is amazing- it has wonderful views down the valley, and crucially is very well fenced and gated in case of wandering children.
The Todds couldn't be more hospitable. They really make you feel as though you are part of the family. David is also an amazing cook: with his daughters as waitresses, we were served a fantastic meal on our terrace- a perfect tonic for two sleep deprived parents.
I couldn't reccomend Casa San Gabriel highly enough.Read moreLess

"Beautiful surroundings, relaxing, children happy…"
We have visited Casa San Gabriel on 3 separate occasions. We love its location, so close to the airport (only 30 mins); day trips to Siena, Assisi and Rome and beautiful countryside with it being set in the Umbrian hills. We first went there in 2003 when it had first opened with our 9 month old daughter; a second visit with both our children aged 3 and 5 then again last summer when they were 10 and 8. We have found different things to do with them on each occasion and if we are not doing day trips then we are all happy just to hang out by the pool, feed the alpacas or just sit on the terrace with a good book and the stunning view. David and Chrissie are very gracious hosts, they have provided us with all manner of baby stuff, babysitters as well as a wonderful pizza evening, a fantastic dinner cooked by David who is a marvellous chef, and of course great recommendations on where to go, what to see, where to eat etc. Its one of our favourite places in the world and we'd go back in a heartbeat.Read moreLess

"Wonderful place for a family holiday, great for both parents and children…"
My family and I have stayed at Casa San Gabriel 3 times over the last 5 years and have always had a wonderful time. The swimming is fantastic with the most wonderful views, there is a great playground and the children loved the sweet dog Cuba and patting the Alpacas.
The accommodation is tastefully done and provides all the necessities you need. There is lots of baby equipment provided, and wifi available throughout the house and gardens.
The best thing was the weekly pizza night, we all loved the chance to make and eat our own pizzas and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We will be going back.
