"We just had to go back again!…"
It's been a few years since we last visited the villa and the children are now older - 18, 17, 14 & 11 but we knew it would be just as good, in fact it was better. The accommodation is superb. We had a three bedroom apartment, the bedrooms were a great size with enough room in the rest of the apartment for us all to have our own space. Arriving to a few supplies was a great touch and very welcome indeed.
The children couldn't wait to get outside, two in the pool, one in a hammock with a book, one on the climbing frame - something for each of them. I'd forgotten how safe the surrounding areas of the villa are. You really can get to relax.
The other guests were nice and a couple of other children for mine to play with too. There is so much land surrounding the villa that you can be very alone if you really want to be.
The town was a 10 min walk away so very accessible. Full of bars, restaurants, park, shops and more. Locals were very friendly and welcoming.
We ventured out on foot and by bikes another day, so you really didn't need a car too much if you stayed local. We heard there might be a paint ball venue nearby soon too.
We drove 40mins to the nearest beach one day which was fab but soon realised that all we needed was right on the doorstep so spent the rest of the holiday chilling at or near the villa. It really was bliss.
A perfect holiday for our varying needs as a family of 6.
A would highly recommend the villa and we will be back a little sooner next time.Read moreLess

"fabulous family place…"
We stayed for a week in late September 2014 at Villa San Raffaello. We are an Australian family and hired the Damiano and Grazia apartments. My son, his wife and 2 young sons stayed in the Damiano apartment. It was absolutely ideal for them, large living area, ensuites to both bedrooms, very spacious and safe for their 1 and 4 year old sons. Just outside their apartment was a table and chairs where we spent many a happy lazy lunch. Their children loved exploring the grounds, finding special hiding places, picking herbs, grapes, other fruit and vegetables, lying in hammocks. Our 4 year old grandson loved the property so much he asked if he could live there.
My husband and I stayed upstairs in a 3 bedroom apartment with our son, daughter and boyfriend. At the last minute we had an extra guest and our host kindly organised extra linen and towels for the sofa bed, on which she was very comfortable. I loved that the apartments were very clean, charming and had everything we needed for cooking. The property very much lends itself to lazy days reading, lying in the hammocks, eating outdoors. We visited Sarnarno regularly – you need a car to get around the region. There are lots of beautiful areas you can visit nearby including Sarnarno itself. Fabulous last night meal at the La Clarisse restaurant in Sarnarno.
We could not have asked for more. Damien was a great host, giving us lots of tips and suggestions for activities. And booking us into restaurants, organising a bike for my older son. Lots of games, reading material, DVDs – you can be as lazy or busy as you wish. Fabulous spot for a family get together or special occasion. Highly recommended. "Amazing accommodation. Fantastic venue. Great location.…"
Beautifully restored apartment, with much attention to detail, sharing lovely gardens. Only a short walk into local town, Sarnarno. Friendly host Damien gave lots of helpful info for daytrips out when we could stir up enough energy to leave the superb pool.
Would definitely recommend.Read moreLess

"Un bel posto - A fantastic place to stay!…"
Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children aged 6,5, 1.5) stayed at Villa Raffaello for one week during April/May and just loved it! Our apartment was well-equipped and felt just like home. Damian, our host, was very welcoming and helpful. He suggested some great itineraries for our family outings. We just loved the Villa, its gardens...the view is AMAZING. The town of Sarnano is lovely, very easy to get by (in Italian or English), and there is plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas. We thoroughly recommend a stay at Villa San Raffaello. We would love to go back!Read moreLess

"Perfect place for all the family…"
We spent an amazing week here during the Easter holidays 2012. A beautiful villa, lovingly restored set against the most spectacular backdrop of the Sibillini Mountains. An amazing view whilst sitting by the pool, watching the landscape changing with the light. The picturesque town of Sarnarno, with its locally produced food market, gelaterie, cafes and bars open till late with live music meant the whole family was catered for even the teenagers!. A memorable trip to Amandola for ice-cream and then on to the breathtaking gorge at Gola dell'Infernaccio to walk it off!!. Most of the time we were all just happy to be around the villa enjoying the spacious accommodation and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended for a relaxing family holiday.Read moreLess

"Villa San Raffaello gets better and better…"
Yet another great holiday at Villa San Raffaello! I'm losing count of the times we've been here since it opened - it's a place easy to fall in love with. It's hard to beat lying on a sunbed beside the pool in glorious 30 degree September sunshine, gazing at the mountain scenery and warming up for a dip in the 25 degree pool - bliss.
Room Tip: We've stayed in all four apartments but our marginal favourite is Damiano - on the ground floor...Read moreLess
