"Amazing Family Retreat…"
Mumsnet was invited to review Cap Esterel on a press trip. Cap Esterel is set in the mountains of with stunning views from all around. Ideal for family holiday. Getting to this stunning location can be done in a variety of ways - we traveled by euro star to Lille and picked up the TGV for a 6 hour trip across France - for those looking for stress free check ins this is the way to go. The TGV is very comfortable clean and facilities to keep you replenished as you enjoy the views - and is then just a short shuttle journey to the resort. You can also travel by Car and Plane with parking allocated for guests. The resort has a a variety of apartments each fully equipped for a self catering holiday with all equipment provided. The apartments are spacious and brightly decorated - the views differ from where you are located but each as stunning as the other over looking the mountains or the ocean or the golf course. the resort is very family orientated and there are no cars on the site, if you are on a self catering holiday there is a large supermarket on site (much like a sainsburys) a pharmacy and various other shops to cover what you need, along with a very good mixture of restaurants should you want a night off cooking that are reasonably priced and value for money. For the fun stuff ... there is a full range of child care facilities on site from nursery through to older children the facilities are fully equipped with trained staff for each age group. There is also 007 spy training, clown school training, archery and mini golf on site as well as a total wipeout course, horse riding and other facilities just a short walk or use the on site train to get you around. There is also two outdoor swimming pools - one is heated and attached to the spa that is onsite, and one has a slide fun for all ages. There is a weekly market in the main square, fitness classes and evening entertainment. The staff are friendly and helpful and very welcoming. Should you wish to get out and explore there are shuttles that take you to the local train station.
Personally i fully enjoyed my stay here and so did my Son who is 10 and was fully entertained the whole of the trip and is bugging me to return soon...
We traveled in May - this is just out of the season but would highly recommend as prices vary in the summer months and the resort is generally at almost full capacity and the weather is warm enough to enjoy a nice evening relaxing looking at the views.Read moreLess
