Monte Santo

This is labelled as a 5 star resort - I'm not sure it is, the pool and accommodation were amazing but the restaurant let it down.

We stayed in a 2 bedroomed luxury suite and it really was lovely, it had a well equipped kitchen area with dishwasher and washer dryer, TV, DVD and music player/ipod dock in the lounge area and a TV in each of the bedrooms which had English TV on BB1, BBC2 and CNN news. The beds were enormous with plenty of wardrobe space and lovely en-suite bathroom. It was great having a separate room and space for the dd's age 8 and 5.
But we didn't need it that much as they spent all day in the outdoor or indoor pool. Both were large and quiet with plenty of sunbeds. There was a lovely children's play area too but there was no shade there so too hot for us to enjoy.

The only downside was that it was too far to walk into town so when we wanted a change from the mediocre but expensive evening meal in the restaurant we had to drive the few minutes into town. Which was a real shame because they did a lovely breakfast and lunch was very reasonable too. All in all a lovely holiday and we'd certainly consider going again.
