Les Vallaies Gites

We really enjoyed our 3 weeks at Les Vallaies in July / August 2011.
The accomodation was perfect for our family with all that we needed and plenty of space for us and our 2 boys (aged 10 and 11). We stayed 'poolside' in Cassiope Gite and the boys really enjoyed being able to dip in and out of the pool as they pleased. Wendy and Chris couldn't have been more helpful - even loaning us a proper moules pot and burner when we fancied Moules marini

We spent a fantastic two weeks at Les Vallaies, the weather was incredible and the place was fantastic ! Chris and Wendy and their boys are just so welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely evening out with Wendy babysitting and visited some fantastic places - the zoo and aquarium being particular favourites. The cottages are really spacious, we were in Vierge which looks out onto the garden, so our children (5 and 3) could just run out and play on the trampoline and swings in full view whilst we sat and relaxed on our terrace. Its all enclosed and really safe, it's in a lovely quiet rural village and we spent some lovely evenings strolling around the lanes and through the nearby woods. The gite was comfortable, clean, well maintained and had everything we needed. Wendy provided a bed guard for our youngest, there was a toddler step for the bathroom, bath mat even bath toys ! Even the plastic crockery was there, we didn't have to bring anything which was brilliant because we were flying. The children loved playing with the other children and made looking after them so much easier - I even managed to read a book ! We enjoyed chatting to the other parents around the pool area but even though there are 5 gites it never felt 'too busy' at all and on several days we got the whole place to ourselves. Excellent holiday, all our children had a fabulous time, as did we. Our happy children
meant we were happy, relaxed and contented. Everything you could want for small
children was here, Wendy and Chris have thought of everything. We loved the area,
there is just enough to keep us busy but not so much to be commercial. The wine
tasting was great and different to anything we'd done before

Focussed on families and particularly good for 0-10 years. Very rural setting but good access to lots of different activities. About 45 minutes drive to the beach. Run by a British couple who can't do enough to help. Owner will babysit so you can go and enjoy the local cuisine in peace! The cottages are well stocked - not luxurious but comfortable enough for a really good holiday. Unheated pool and equipment for small children is very good. We had a great holiday there!
