"Amazing Family Hotel…"

Mumsnet was invited by the Jordanian tourist board, BMI and the Kempinski Ishtar hotel to experience how family friendly a holiday here can be.
The Hotel is truly gorgeous with nine pools, overlooking the dead sea and also a spa if you want time away from the kids. The restaurants are numerous and varied so that is easy to find food for the trickiest of eaters. But equally to have the whole fine dining experience
The hotel is on a large plot with very all the rooms looking over the sea. The rooms are also extremely large and beautifully decorated mine had a bathroom a family of four could have easily slept in !
There is lots to do in the hotel such as spa or gym for you or kids club for the children or just lounge by the pool. But really want makes the hotel how family family the staff are. In must be in their DNA but all of them were so utterly charming and charmed my daughter. Nothing was too much trouble and very little detail though of. It really was 5 star and we had such a great time so yes would definitely recommend it for either a romantic getaway or for a family holiday
Jordan itself is beautiful. Full of incredible history. If you go to Jordan you must must see the roman ruins at Jerash simply amazing but above all you must go to Petra. Its a long way to go from the hotel so you might want to stay overnight. All I can say is you have to go there. It should be on everyone's to do list.
I thought it might not have had the same impact on my daughter but she has talked about it a lot since. But it is so beautiful and incredible in the true sense of the word
We flew both ways with BMI who and I didnt know this but they have extra space even in economy. Again very impressive and I would use them again.
