"Club Med Sandpiper is great for kids and pretty good…"
10-Nov-2007
Club Med Sandpiper is great for kids and pretty good for adults too (not least because you can have a real holiday as even babies as young as 4 months can go into the baby club). The activities put on for kids aged 4 - 7 were very good indeed, particularly the trapeze which was well done. Older kids might be less impressed however. My main reservation is about the baby club where although the staff were very nice I didn't get the feeling they were very well qualified. I got the impression from talking to the staff that you could opt to work in the Baby Club with relatively little experience and no qualifications. I aksed them to give our 7 month old baby healthy finger foods for lunch (vegetables, fruit etc) and rice/pasta. I was surprised when I picked him up that they had interpreted this as a hot dog (not ideal for a baby so young though our little one loved it of course).

"Families with older children loved it: "My daughter (aged ten)…"
08-Jan-2007
Families with older children loved it: "My daughter (aged ten) was entertained all day learning everything from trapeze to scuba diving," but in the creche: "the ratio of carers to babies was too large for us to feel comfortable leaving our baby for long periods, which is a shame as there's lots to do!" Everyone praised the facilities: "There's tons of adult sports and entertainment and the staff are "enthusiastic and multilingual." Rooms are "fairly basic" but food is "amazing." Overall: " a big, busy resort so not particularly peaceful, but if your kids are into sports, they'll think they're in paradise."
