Amazing....with small children I had not previously though I could afford a fully staffed house. Dar Tamazerte comes with a cook and a maid...both completely charming so tables are laid, food appears and everything is done with such style (Yes even flowers and fresh linen) Pure luxary a completely fantastic experience at any time of year and especially to pick up some winter sun.

What a total pleasure! I have been to Morocco several times travelling, but this experience is the other extreme if you want to be utterly relaxed, totally spoilt and completely on holiday in a spectacular part of the world - bliss! The villa is just lovely and everything you could possibly want is on hand, & if not, one of the courteous and friendly staff will assist - even though you never seem to see them! The food is exceptional & the location is extraordinarily beautiful; with the backdrop of the Atlas mountains and the stunning surrounding gardens, this is outside dining at its best. The photo's just don't do it justice and I can't wait to get back there after having been in Spain for 3 months! Thank you again for a wonderful experience, we all loved it.

"I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to recommend…"

I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to recommend this place after a group of 8 of us went to celebrate my 30th there, what a special place it was.
In the evenings we had wonderful three course meals, at any time we requested. We often opted for the roof terrace after supper, where the mix of candle-light, stars, mountain vistas and cool drinks often saw us through to the small hours of the morning! We chose to enjoy breakfast in the shady surrounds of the pool, taking in the wildlife and well kept grounds of the villa.
Our holiday was primarily planned for relaxation, which the villa delivers in abundance. But we also visited the hustle and bustle of the lively souks in downtown Marrakech, and took a day trip to the Atlas mountains. For this the villa was ideal as it was conveniently located between the two.
I am also a keen photographer and the colour saturation out there is much to be desired! If you go, take your camera!!!
I really would recommend this place to anyone, one of the only truly hassle free holidays I have been on!

14-Jan-2011
went to Dar Tamazerte with my sisters for a get away from it all last October. It was all organised so well from being met at the airport by a charming representative and escorted to the villa, not having to think about getting meals , long relaxing lunches over a bottle ( or 2 )of wine on the divine teerace overlooking the magnificient Atlas mountains and then flopping on the sunloungers by the pool to wile away the afternoon soaking up the rays ( the weather was delightful, sunny and very warm, so a good place to go off season for a pick me up).
We had an absulote ball having a Hamman and massage, vigorous but relaxing as well.
The evenings were magical, drinks around the pool which was all lite up by lanterns and so peaceful apart from the occasional call to pray from the local mosque, followed by a moroccan feast cooked and served by the lovely staff.
3 days went by far too quickly and i am already planning my next visit for later this year.Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

Absolutely stunning!
Went just before Christmas, the house was incredible, the staff were so friendly and the English speaking host who arranged all of our excursions made the stay truly unforgettable for us.

This place is such a find, I went with a group of girlfriends for a 40th and we had such a wonderful time. It's a short drive from the hustle and bustle of the city centre (by air conditioned, chauffered car!)and such a relaxing retreat. We were served the most incredible food by the live in chef, and they even brought us refreshing drinks as we sunbathed by the pool. I left feeling so relaxed and refreshed. I was so impressed that I booked for half term to take dh and the kids as soon as i got off the plane!
I couldn't reccomend it highly enough, whether you're going with girlfriends or the whole family. Enjoy!Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

Wow - villa was absolutely stunning - even better than the photos. Staff were great and very accomodating. The house was well kitted out not just for us but for the children(board games, card games, DVD's, videos) not to mention the huge swimming pool where the kids spent 90% of the time! I will be returning again this year. Would recommend a trip into the mountains as well as the obligatory visit to the souks.

"This is the MOST relaxing holiday either with the kids…"
09-Jan-2011
This is the MOST relaxing holiday either with the kids or as a romantic break or a short break with the girls.
This very spacious 3 bedroom/3 bathroom villa is set in its own grounds of over 1 acre and has its own pool.
Why so relaxing? NO car hire, NO shopping, NO cooking, NO washing!
We were met at the airport by an English-speaking manager and transported by air-conditioned mini bus to the Villa which is 30 mins away in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains (Marrakech is also just 30 minutes drive). Beautifully appointed villa but functional even with kids.
It has 2 live-in staff who do ALL the cooking, cleaning, washing etc etc and we were able to chill out from the moment we arrived.
We went into the mountains and spent a day and a night in Marrakech (the staff babysat and were delightful). There are plenty of things to do including a tennis court and golf courses nearby but we enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful garden and by the pool with everything done. You have sole use and can do exactly what you want to do when you want to do it. Bliss!
The guest book is full of very favourable comment and the food is a mix of Morrocan and European and the cook will prepare more basic food for the younger palate. You just pay for the meals you eat (breakfast is included in rental) so you can go out as much as you wish.
I think it is marketed on a word of mouth basis rather than agents - there is a website www.marrakechholidayvilla.com
