Heading to Malta on a mini break, we spent three nights at this five star hotel which is located just outside Valletta’s city walls.
Our room was spacious with a large balcony overlooking the harbour. The bed was comfy and we both slept reasonably well, although the air conditioning was a little temperamental.
Children are made very welcome by staff and there's a smaller kiddies pool outside to keep them entertained in the heat. However this is not a designated family hotel and there wasn't a great deal else to keep little ones occupied.
Each morning we indulged in the plentiful buffet breakfast, with cooked options, plenty of fresh fruit and moreish baked goodies. We didn't try out the in-house restaurant but it looked pretty busy when we passed through.
Lured by its huge pool and harbourside location, we could easily have spent the entire time at the hotel itself. Fortunately, it is just a short stroll into the old capital of Valletta, where there is history, shopping and culture in abundance.
