"Fantastic for families…"
I went to the Hotel Marina last July with my 10 year old son last year. Overall, it was really good. We stayed half board so had breakfast and dinner. The breakfast consisted of a continental option to cold meats, bread, cheeses etc and then hot foods such as bacon and eggs. These was loads of drinks such as tea, coffee and a range of juices. Dinner could be a bit hit and miss. The were things like lasagne, chips, spaghetti. It was all self service though and I actually saw a little boy put his hands in the chips!! Probably better if a member of staff had been dishing out the food.
The hotel itself is not the most modern but is clean and the rooms are nice and cleaned everyday. You can have fresh towels on request. The beds and pillows were very hard though. It was like sleeping on the floor. The rooms were air conditioned and had sky TV with English Channels. Every afternoon when we went for our siesta, my son would watch Pointless!!
There is a pool at the hotel with plenty of sun loungers and parasols. You can have 30 mins of wifi per day but then there is a small charge.
The hotel is right in front of a beautiful, well maintained beach. There are lots of shops nearby where you can get sandwiches, drinks, buckets and spades etc.
The nearest town is a short tram ride away. They have lovely restaurants and there is more to do there I.e. a market which sells local produce and lots of lovely cafés. Palma is about 30 minutes away and I would recommend that.
I would also recommend a trip to Sa Colobra. You go on a boat and there is a lovely little cove where you can sunbathe. My son went snorkelling, the sea was so beautiful and clear.
Overall, a wonderful place to go. It's fairly quiet but there is enough to do to keep children amused. I would definitely return.Read moreLess
