"An excellent choice if your looking for a child friendly"
22-May-2011
An excellent choice if your looking for a child friendly luxury holiday.
transfer arranged by the hotel included a babyseat for our 6 month old. We booked a suite but were upgraded to a 2 bed family suite on arrival which was lovely and spacious with the added bonus of a big garden. Nothing is too much trouble when it comes to little ones here - our 6 son had fresh puree's made on request (included in the cost of our HB option)which made the whole meal time process a lot easier. All the restaurants have little play area's which seemed to keep the older kids occupied.
Pool and beach area's were well kept and in high season s 'babe watch' service is offered on the beach to give parents 30 minutes of peace while little one is entertained. we could have had this for 30 minutes every day at no extra cost. Ofstead inspected creche on site was fantastic and the babysitting service very reasonable.
The hotel porto village is set in a resort with 4 hotels in total and we were able to use the facilities everywhere else which was nice. Spa was lovely and the adult pools dotted around the place offered a niec escpae when little one was in the creche.
HB dine around option meant you could eat anywhere in the resort and the food was excellent.
The resort does have alot going on on-site (sports centre, bike hire, watersports, outdoor cinema and theatre) and there are a lot of trips that you can book yourself onto for an extra cost but if you are someone who likes to get out and about to explore the local area you would need a car. We looked into it and it was only going to be 50 euro's a day which seemed quite reasonable.
we will definetly be going back!!Read moreLessMumsnetter phmummy

"Arrived at Halkidiki airport, picked up by taxi and taken"
02-Dec-2010
Arrived at Halkidiki airport, picked up by taxi and taken directly to the resort.
We had a family room, with two bedrooms and bathrooms. This is def worth the money and gave us lots of room to enjoy the holiday.
Great quality bedlinen, pillows decoration etc.
Cleaned daily
The beach is amazing, very clean and gently shelving.
Great pool complex and little paddling type pool for children as well.
The kids club is very very good and the nursery is payable but excellently run and we felt very comfortable leaving the girls there.
We got free HB and dine around and if you look on the website that is often the case. The HB is actually really decent, as is the quality of food. All the bars are either owned by or licensed to the Porto Sani complex and therefore are price controlled and not cheap.
There is a little camp shop but it's fiendishly expensive, a small sun cream was 17 euro..beware.
It's a real 5 star treat and they love children.
Oh and a spa for anyone who likes that type of thing :-)Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

"Had a wonderful holiday here in July with 2 toddlers"
02-Sep-2010
Had a wonderful holiday here in July with 2 toddlers who were extremely well catered for. Garden view room was great with plenty of space, and proper cot bed for the youngest. Food options numerous so definitely something for fussy children. Facilities great - clean, new, service first class. Beaches amongst the best we've seen with the babe watch service allowing you to have a bit of free time on the beach. Kids club also good - our kids went every morning and settled immediately with no tears - there was so much for them to do. Other guests were lovely and we made lots of friends as there were numerous families with children similar ages. Could not fault our holiday other than perhaps food service was slow unless you specified you had 2 ravenous toddlers who would melt down if not fed IMMEDIATELY - and then service was quick!

"nice set up - villas/apartments set near swimming pool and"
03-Aug-2009
nice set up - villas/apartments set near swimming pool and within easy walk of marina, beach and restaurants. food was fine.
BUT - everything is owned by the resort - which felt a little claustrophobic? Also - we went in OCtober and it was freezing and there was nothing to do. Children were only allowed in the indoor pool for one hour per day (?) and it was v dull - and miles from anywhere.
kids club was a lifesaver - it's operated by powder byrne and had lots of native english speaking staff with good quality facilities.Read moreLessMumsnetter gladders
