Los Gigantes Spa & Suites Tenerife, Spain

We had our first ever family holiday here in April 2011 - 7 adults (1 disabled), 1 3-year old and 1 14-month.
Everybody had a fantastic time - the rooms were spacious and clean with lovely views over the hotel and the ocean; there were excellent facilities for children and disabled guests, and plenty for everybody to do without having to spend all day together. Our children loved the shaded soft play area which gave welcome rest from the constant heat and the adults loved taking part in the water polo matches and various other entertainments.
Staff couldn't be more accommodating and helpful for children -every night we took a Thermos down to the bar and they filled it with warm milk for our baby, and the mini-disco was a huge hit with our 3-year old.
There was food to suit everybody's tastes - the hotel caters mainly for Brits and Germans so lots of food that everybody recognised (including chips and nuggets for the kids!)as well as more Spanish things you wouldn't normally have. We were on an all-inclusive deal and felt we got excellent value for money and had a really amazing first holiday experience. Will definitely be returning at some point in the future.

we had a great ten days here over the feb half term. The luabay (as it's also known) is a very good hotel and a fab place for kids; excellent swimming pools suitable for babies through to serious swimmers. Good food and a kids club although we didn't really use it. My girls loved the mini disco after supper at 8.30!
The resort is quiet and not at all for the beer/fish and chips/getting trashed wrowd. The beach is clean and the black sand sparkles like onyx!

Fantastic hotel! Our small children loved the range of pools and the brilliant shaded soft play area. Kids club staff were great, was impressed they remembered names and other details.

The food was great, there was a good range of things at the buffet so we didn't get round to trying the a la carte restaurant.

The nearby beach was nice, but the waves were a bit too big for our kids to play in the sea.

Lovely all inc resort, every suite has its own outside door with fab views - also as its a suite 2 rooms and a bathroom - ideal for putting little ones to bed then sitting on the terrace.
