"It was our first time taking our daughter, 21 months,"
05-Jun-2010
It was our first time taking our daughter, 21 months, on a flight and we wanted it to be a short once. Tunisia is only 2h30 away so was perfect.
The flight and the transfers were effortless.
We cannot recommend the resort more highly. The service and food were excellent, the pools and the space available across the whole "village" means you don't feel cramped at all.
We had a very good experience of the childcare, our daughter went along most mornings and we spent the afternoon together. The ratio for under two's is I think 3 to 1 which was great, but I did hear from mums with slightly older kids that the ratio was 6 to 1 and if you had a little one who needed a little more tlc, they couldn't always give immediate attention to all.
The mixture of all inclusive activities was excellent and never overcrowded (we overlapped the May half term holidays), including tennis, sailing, archery, aqua and regular aerobics etc and the pools are huge and fabulous to look at.
The only small niggle was the accomodation itself. Although it was spacious, it was a little tired, but you could turn a blind eye....
If you've never tried club med before, it can feel a little full on, they have a large staff of "G.O.'s", ie: helpers / organisers who all wear spotless and colourful uniforms and who greet you wherever you are, and look to include you in various activities throughout the day, eg: waterpolo, general games, but if you don't fancy it no one will force anything on you, it's all done very gently...
Lastly, it is a french company, so expect the first language to be french. We speak the language so wasn't an issue for us, and you can always find a G.O. who speaks English, but it could be a little annoying as most of the announcements are made in french and the majority of the guests are french.Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.
