Aolian Village Greece

We were very pleasantly surprised by this resort. Run by Neilson, the friendly staff could not do more to help your stay run smoothly. The childcare offered a wide range of activites - so our 2.5 yr old had her first go on a speed boat, yacht and dinghy!

Although traditionally Neilson run holidays for those wanting to do sailing and other watersports, we didn't do that much and just enjoyed chilling out by the pool and trying out the waterskiing when we wanted.

The food was great - and I am a little surprised at the other review - as we have experienced a lot of all inclusives, but this one was good as they varied the menu every night. Maybe things have improved in the last year? You also get a couple of nights off to try out the local restaurants - a lovely little village nearby - and they offer free nightime club for kids on these evenings.

All in all a very relaxing holiday - which can be hard to come by with kids. Highly recommended!

We had a really wonderful holiday with our two children (aged two and three). Neilson's staff were outstanding and took really good care of our boys. Every day they did some combination of swimming, sailing, beach walks, feeding the turtles and drinking milkshakes.

There was a creche for the children available every day and we expected to use it for just two or three hours at most. Our three year old actually demanded that he go back to 'kids club' because he liked it so much (and he is pretty shy).

The nanny staff were outstanding. They were kind, responsible and caring and the best nannies I have come across anywhere. Whoever selects their staff and trains them,does an outstanding job.

We loved all of the sports facilities and played tennis every day. There is a huge selection of watersports also available. The only minor downside of the resort is the food. It's good, but has the same buffet selection every day. We stayed for 2 weeks and really disliked it by the end. The local village has some lovely restaurants though.
