"Excellent facilities for families - just a few niggles…"
Although this is classed as a ski hotel, we went in summer and found it delightful.
We had a junior suite which, in addition to a large double bed and double sofa-bed, also had a sitting area with table and a balcony. Possibly the most spacious accommodation we've ever had.
(And 2 TVs! Wonderful for argument prevention.)
Food was excellent and varied (great efforts made for our vegetarian)with extremely helpful staff waiting on.
Heated inside/outside swimming pool was wonderful - must be even better after a day of ski-ing.
Only a few negative points really. Despite being advertised as a "non-smoking" hotel, there were a couple of times we had to leave the communal lounge area because of cigarette smoke. (This was the only part of the hotel where the free Wi-Fi could be accessed - would have made life easier to be able to do so in our room.)The evening meal was served the Bellevue's sister hotel, Austria. This involved a 2 minute walk up a hill or through an adjoining tunnel. Not a great inconvenience but less relaxing than staying in our own hotel. Liked it so much we went online and booked to return for our ski holiday in 6 months.Read moreLess
"Upmarket ski resort…"
This was a lovely resort with great skiing with well groomed slopes. The hotel was absolutely first class. The food was really good and there were snacks in the afternoon if you wanted them. They also advertised a nanny service although im sure Chrystal mentioned children being looked after within the price. There was a playroom with lego etc. You could ski to about 100 yards of the hotel. The après ski was on the mountain at 4 o'clock till about 7.30 and then you skied back home in the dark with flood lights. There was very little to do in the evenings although there were a few pubs but all very quiet. The children at ski school always looked as if the were having a really good time. Mostly bubble cars and covered in chairlifts so no problems getting up the mountain. You can also ski in Hochgurgl with the same ski pass.Read moreLess
