Chalet Bruyere

Centrally located, warm and clean with friendly staff. Those are the plus points. The Chalet was descibed as being airy and spacious, It was neither. I could hardly walk round the bed. The room was so small there was no room for a wardrobe, there were wooden pegs on the wall which had hangers on them. The food was bescribed as international cuisine and fine wines. It was neither. The food wasnt disgusting but "international cuisine" was not a word that described it. The only time we had fresh vegetables was when we had salad twice. We had to ask for a teapot, napkins, because toilet roll didnt quite do it for us. We were served bread with mould, longlife milk which was off and if we had boiled eggs the chalet next door had to wait because they only had three eggcups. The toilets had no towels in them. The chalet staff lived in the accommodation and their pals just walked in anytime they wanted. Bare sp in mind the doors had no locks and there was one set of keys for 4 families. The fist meal we had we were sitting at the table and three chalet staff walked in and sat down and were laughing and joking loudly. There were three of them and 7 of us but only seating for 6. I dont know where they thought we were going to sit. We did complain on the second day and to be fair they did try to address some of the issues. This was a holiday for a group of young people who would accept faults and not complain. I think the staff could have got it right but really they lacked the knowledge of how a chalet should be run.
