"Just replying to my client who stayed - great you…"
28-Oct-2010
Just replying to my client who stayed - great you had a good time and sorry you felt we worried about heating bills and water usage. Just to put the record straight we are not metered for water so the money cost is not significant. Les Gets has had issues with water supply and we do try and encourage our guests to be green as it makes sense. The heating has been an issue as after our renovation the dynamic of the building changed and the heating at times was barely adequate - my concerns were always that the chalet was warm enough. We hope these are now resolved. OK so my kids arre grown up but we encourage families do have other equipment available on demand and now have a more cosy family orientated chalet as well at the bottom of our drive - see you then!

"We had stayed in Les Gets before and this chalet…"
25-Apr-2010
We had stayed in Les Gets before and this chalet looked good as they were offering a deal for their last unbooked week of the season. It is a four bedroom chalet for 8-10 people and has ensuite bathrooms for each room (!) but we were just one family and felt it would be crowded in the living area if another family had stayed with us. Jo was very friendly and informative before we stayed and it was great to have their 'flexi catering' which meant she cooked meals for us which we could heat up when we felt like it - less work for us than self-catering but more private than having to sit down for meals at a certain time. It was lovely having a hot tub but I did feel the owners worried a lot about water usage and heating bills and I felt if they were prepared to rent out their chalet at fairly high prices then they should put up with the bills that come with that. Also they could have been more on top of fixing the heating and the door handle, both of which caused problems while we were staying. There were only a few children's DVDs in the extensive selection and although they provided a high chair and some plastic plates and cutlery I felt the chalet was better set up for families with older children. We drove down through France and arranged our own childcare so I have not rated either of these aspects.
