Chalet Sandy

Just returned from this chalet run by crystal, to say a disappointment is an understatement. The food was rubbish and non existent, we complained but it did not improve. Paid a lot of money and received really poor service, shame on crystal for ripping us off, chalet host was young student who had no experience in cooking or being a host. Not completely hosts fault as food seemed to be rationed by crystal. Crystal customer service was very poor. Chalet also tacky and run down, did not even have its own hoover. Only one room had functioning shower, other rooms involved needing in the bath as no peg on wall to hold shower head. Skied in Austria and Andora several times, please do your self a favor and avoid this chalet and crystal.

Location was great as not too far from the resort centre and only a slight hill (some of the chalets in Meribel are halfway up the mountain and only really accessible by the ski bus). We took a 9 month old so we didn't try the chalet for toddler-friendliness. One room was large enough to accommodate a cot - the other bedrooms are much smaller and it would be cramped. Bath facilities ensuite.
Close enough to skiing to enable swap over of child carers at lunchtime if you want to.
Only problem was that chalet was on main road near to popular nightspot so late night / early morning could be quite noisy - didn't wake the baby, just the parents!
