Chalet Les Grolets

Hardcore snowboarders and skiers can get back on or off the piste without feeling guilty. Childcare was great, even with taking 3 1/2 year old DD to ski lessons, she absolutely loved it.
Food was the best we'd ever had in over 15 years of chalet holidays.

OK, it is a bit pricey, but they do go the extra mile with the children which does give you great piece of mind. Will definitely go again.

The Family Ski Company were superb in helping us to arrange our first ski holiday since having our boys. We traveled with several friends who also have young children and TFSC went above and beyond to make sure that the accommodation we booked was going to be suitable for us.

Ardent itself is just a small hamlet, but skiing holidays with young children just don't suit apres ski, so that wasn't a problem. The honesty bar and free flowing wine in the chalet more than made up for only having one bar in the village. The gondola was just a few minutes walk away and linked very centrally into the Portes du Soleil skiing area.
The transfers were great - Geneva airport is big and always busy on a Saturday, but the staff were very helpful and got us on the road pretty swiftly.
The chalet was very comfortable, though some extra benches in the ski room would have been nice. The hot tub was a brilliant feature for weary legs!
The food was excellent. The children ate at 6pm and were settled in bed before our dinner at 8pm.
The only slight problem was that the water pressure on the top floor was quite low leading to piddly water flow in the showers. We were told that the owner of the chalet was looking to address the problem.
The childcare was excellent. The whole team was friendly and enthusiastic. The creche was small but very well equipped and the children were well occupied with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. For the older children in ski school, the helpers were excellent and the afternoon activities were fun and varied. Being in such a small village meant that there was loads of space outdoors to play and build snowmen.
We have already booked for next year!
