A "fabulous location, right on the slope and within feet of the creche." There's access to lots of skiing, but the village of Les Coches is tiny so "don't go for après ski!" Most thought the childcare "good" with a "small but well-equipped creche and enthusiastic nannies, even at the end of the season." Some found the ESF ski school: "too French, uncaring and just not that enjoyable" though another conceded: "despite the tears our daughter did eventually learn to ski!" Accommodation is "basic" - one reviewer thought the hotel looked "tired". Overall the company is "eager to please" and "small enough to be flexible."

Great friendly small ski operator. Only downfall is ESF ski lessons aren't great unless your kids speak French. Instructors speak the English they need to teach skiing but don't necessarily understand what your child says to them. For young kids, I'd recommend choosing a resort with an English Ski School - skihomepage site and a few of the other ski type directories eg skiextras have lists of english ski schools (as not always that easy to find on the web). For older kids learning french at school - ESF will be OK.
