"“More than a Boutique - this is a palace!”…"
We arrived on the Thursday night, and was delighted by the style and individuality of the rooms, formerly a tumbledown barn.
We were the first guests to arrive, so had the choice of rooms. Dan the owner was a true host in every sense of the word. He showed us the four rooms, we chose the Maple (as it had a lovely four poster bed). The other rooms were also amazing and well done. (Top tip - in the breakfast room ask to see the photos of the conversion - it makes you realise how much work went into the whole project!) Each room also has a kitchenette (fully stocked down to the salt and pepper shakers) Very handy for the Indian takeaway we had on the last night!) the rooms are also heated underfloor, have a luxurious bathroom with a double shower.
We had breakfast every morning in the adjoining breakfast room, light and airy. the menu was excellent, fresh squeezed juices, coffee, and a selection of excellent breakfast items. As they have only four rooms, you don't feel like you are on a production line for breakfast which can happen elsewhere.
The room guide and local attractions enabled us to have a fabulous break. Children would love the open air, the gardens, the chickens and the other animals - the owners encourage kids to get involved.Read moreLess
