The Quay Hotel and Spa

We've stayed here a couple of times as my dad lives locally and doesn't have room for us all. It's in a spectacular location, right on the water's edge looking across at Conwy Castle. Staff are always welcoming and they have great rooms for families - a double for the parents with bathroom and a large sitting room with a double sofa bed and room enough for another small bed. The views from the rooms are again lovely and there's plenty of space for lounging - useful if weather turns nasty - which it has a habit of doing! Also useful for rainy days is the indoor pool and there's a spa if you can persuade someone to look after the kids.
Food is good. The first time we visited there was a very fancy restaurant but that seemed to have gone when we returned. Breakfast is good and there's a lively bar that does food - though we haven't eaten there. The rooms are set slightly away from the main dining/bar/swimming area so there's no noise. Not particularly cheap but if you get on their mailing list they do some great offers.
A modern comfortable hotel well set up for families in a beautiful setting. Recommended.
