"Eastbourne is a great family friendly resort - there are…"
09-Mar-2010
Eastbourne is a great family friendly resort - there are so many things to do, both in the town itself and within a 20 minute drive. You're by the sea, on the edge of the South Downs and amidst a host of beautiful historic places to visit such as Bodium Castle.
The Guesthouse East is easily the most family friendly place to stay in the resort. It's like a cross between a hotel and your own apartment - you have a suite rather than just a room, with your own bedroom, bathroom and kitchen - which means you can cook food for hungry little mouths when they want it! But if you don't want to cook breakfast one day, they will cook it for you - so it's the best of both worlds. We did go for Carl's full English on our first day as we'd not been shopping for our own self catering food by then and it was delicious - our little one also cleaned up his plate!
Things like travel cots, booster seats, plastic plates/cutlery and even a bottle steriliser can be provided, so it limits how much you need to cram in the car.
And it's a family-run place - they have their own toddler and know how to make you welcome and have lots of ideas on things to do locally and where is good to eat. Their room pack said babysitting could be arranged, but we didn't bother with this as there were plenty of things to do for all the family anyway and we were all tired by the time we'd had dinner!Read moreLess1 person found this review helpful.
