"I too have stayed at The Athenaeum with my twin…"
29-Jul-2010
I too have stayed at The Athenaeum with my twin babies last month. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. We forgot the baby milk and arrived fairly late at night, Serena the Kids concierge sorted it out immediately and went and purchased some for us - which was a life saver! My partner and I enjoyed a romantic meal in the restaurant (something we haven't done since they were born) while a babysitter organised by the hotel watched the children, while they slept upstairs. I would definitely recommend this hotel to families with Children, even young ones like mine!

"This hotel was, by far, the most child-friendly place we've…"

This hotel was, by far, the most child-friendly place we've ever stayed in both service and attitude. The Athenaeum are the first London hotel to offer a 'Kids Concierge' service. Before arrival you'll get sent a questionnaire to fill out on all your children's likes and dislikes. Upon arrival you'll find your chosen games console, favourite games, board games and a few other toys to keep them entertained. They also take care of the small things, such as knowing your families names for when you arrive and bringing up milk and cookies for the kids before bedtime. The accommodation is set in your own London apartment with all the 5 star service of a hotel. You can get fantastic services such as massages & beauty treatments in your room, whisky tasting (my husband loved that!) and the food in the restaurant it gorgeous. The Kids Concierge will recommend you an entire itinerary that will suit your children's ages. They offer babysitting services so you and your partner can hit the theatre and you can even book a picnic hamper for a trip to Hyde Park (5 mins walk) or Green Park (opposite) with plenty of delicious treats and even a packet of bird seed to feed the pigeons when you get there!
