"Another great hotel from Butlins!…"
I have stayed in this hotel twice, and having stayed in all three hotels at Butlins Bognor Regis, and I would say this is the best hotel for families with older children (8+).
The rooms are spacious with a separate den for the kids. This doesn't have a door, which I found a little strange as the other hotels have doors on the dens, but it was fine. There's a TV in the kids room as well as the main room, tea and coffee facilities and a fridge.
We were on the top floor with a sea view, and it was lovely to sit on the balcony relaxing with such a fab view.
The rooms are spotless, cleaned daily and have a really nice contemporary look. There's good storage in the main room, but the kids den only has a couple of shelves and a pull out box from under one of the beds.
The butler facility in the hotel is fantastic - they'll take your bags to your room once you've checked in, book restaurants for you, and are on hand to give advice regarding activities, days out etc.
The hotel spa is fab! I always book a 2 hour slot for £19 and just take a couple of hours to relax. The staff are attentive and helpful and again, it's clean and we'll maintained.
The restaurant is nice, but we prefer Turners as the children are older. The buffets restaurants are perfect if you have younger children, but as they get older it's nice to take them to a 'proper' restaurant.
You can always walk into town or take the little train along the beach. It's not far away and has some nice little coffee shops.
All in all this hotel is a great place for a short UK break.Read moreLess

"So much better than I expected!…"
Perhaps it's always better to go on holiday with low expectations - but I had very mixed views about heading to Butlins Bognor Regis. In fact, we'd only booked because of pester power (their TV ad campaign worked a treat!).
In reality, it was a great family holiday - there were a few teething problems and it took a while to adjust to the Butlins mindset, but it was truly enjoyable. The Ocean hotel is smart, clean and friendly, and the Neptune rooms had lots of fun features such as disco lights in the bathroom, a kids' den, DVD players etc. There was plenty of room for 5 of us, and the balcony was huge - we paid a little bit extra for a top floor room so we didn't have anyone trampling around overhead!
There was so much for the kids to do - arts and crafts, the funfair, games, sports, shows to watch, shops to spend mum's money in, not to mention the nearby beach. we also watched some things we'd never pay to see at home and had such a laugh, such as WWF style wrestling, complete with huge pointy foam fingers!
Even the teenager was happy - he joined the teens' VIP club which organised some brilliant activities, and spent the whole holiday roaming round with his friends.
And as ever, if the kids are happy, parents usually are too. Even the food was good! Well done Butlins!Read moreLess
"Brilliant child friendly hotel. Lovely big (and very clean) rooms,…"
Brilliant child friendly hotel.
Lovely big (and very clean) rooms, with lots of well thought out extras like lights and storage boxes under the bed in the childrens 'den' room.
There is also a television and DVD player (you can rent dvds at reception)in there which is great when they're too tired to do anything else, but still need entertaining!
The staff are helpful and very friendly. We went at Halloween time, and they had a 'trick or treat' type treasure hunt around the hotel- my children really enjoyed wandering around to collect their sweets.
Breakfast was brilliant, plenty of choice.
Dinner less so, I wasn't too impressed, but there are plenty of other places to go for dinner.
Overall I would definitely recommend it.Read moreLess
"Excellent for our ds aged 4. We loved the room…"
Excellent for our ds aged 4. We loved the room which was spacious with separate sleeping area for two children with their own flat screen TV.
Lovely bathroom with great shower. Clean and comfortable. Tea/coffee making facility, daily room cleaning, and room service.
We had the bed and breakfast option which was good. Reasonable choice of food though it is buffet style.
Plenty to do for small children without spending too much on extras especially if weather is not good outside and an adequate pool but not as good as centre parcs.
Lovely spa, not too busy with a good choice of treatments which are reasonably priced.Read moreLess
