Cracking B&B accommodation that we discovered last year when we couldn't face doing the drive to Cornwall in one burst. Nestling on the corner of Dartmoor, this grand old house has just three B&B rooms. We had the family room which gave us sole use of the top floor; a vast bedroom with double bed and 2 singles, and a separate bathroom.
Owners are lovely, advising on where to eat out etc. Breakfast was a superb home-made feast of local produce and fresh eggs from Bagtor's free-range chickens and ducks. There are also several extremely friendly labradors - so if you have a child who likes throwing balls for dogs to fetch then you will be sorted; just sit back in the glorious gardens and enjoy the view and wait for either the kids or the dogs to tire.
