"Small, child-friendly site on edge of Delft.…"
This is a lovely site very close to the centre of Delft - we could cycle into the centre in under 10 minutes at 4 yr old speed. It was quiet after 10pm and very peaceful.
There is a small pool and a good children's playground on site but next door is a petting zoo and the most fabulous kids water park with zip wire over the central stream, boats, and water engineering toys. The kids were happy as clams.
For us, we appreciated the ability to go everywhere by bike and the good cycling links to the nearby parkland and lake, the supermarket and Delft train station. The old town in Delft is utterly lovely with plenty of good places to eat and the BEST ice-cream shop EVER. The campsite puts you close to The Hague, Amsterdam, Kinderdijk and so many of the classic sight-seeing spots.
Bizarrely, the site is close to a 6 lane-highway - when the wind is in the wrong direction, you do get traffic noise. We just pretended it was ocean waves and it didn't bother us.
Pitches are on the small side but we had lovely neighbours and left the car in the central carpark. Again, no problems.Read moreLess
