"Great family holiday with little ones…"
A great place for a family holiday. We stayed in a caravan but the camping facilities looked good. Very clean shower blocks. Felt like centre parks but without the crowds and paying extra for everything.
Plenty for kids (we took 5, 5, 3, 18 months and 11 months). Lots of lovely lakeside beaches where the water is shallow and it's quiet enough to keep a close eye on the children. Swimming pools (3 in the same building) are nice, plenty of slides and gadgets. Speeland (an onsite outdoor theme park) is fab and free with your pass. Heaven for children :-) You can travel by frequent boat or trains around the park. Small enough to get around mostly on foot/buggy though. Kids activities 3x daily but mostly in Dutch but they do try and translate - it was fine. Enough to keep you busy on site for a couple of weeks. Shop was fine and not too expensive. Restaurant and take out were not great, everything fried and not very tasty. The other big downside was the mosquitos - children were bitten very badly (50+ times) so do take precautions. There is no evening entertainment if you like that kind of thing you would find it very quiet (but lovely sparkling wine and Heineken on the deck when the kids are asleep you can't go too far wrong...)
Great safari park too and free entry (but you have to pay to leave if you take your car so be warned). The only thing you need to pay for is food and drink. Really great holiday.Read moreLess
