"We stayed here in August and found the whole site…"
We stayed here in August and found the whole site very disappointing. It is in a lovely setting by a river but all run down. The standard of the site has not been maintained. The toilet block near us was shocking. Their are lots of teenagers on this site, the pool never seems to close and is often unsupervised. Drunk English teenagers in the pool in the dark an accident waiting to happen. There were lots of things to do but all very expensive and you had to pre-book the day before. The activities are only open at very limited times of the day and thye are age specific. We had four children from 5 to 11 and there wasn't one activity they could all do at the same time or even a combination of activities at the same time. They wanted to do the go ape but the youger one was only in the afternoon and the older one int he mornings so we ended up going off site to another venue where they could all do it together.Consequently we found this site didn't suit us at all and left early to go to another site. If tacky English entertainment and loud English teenagers is for you then this is your site. Not a french camper anywhere, says it all!Read moreLess

We booked this site via Les Castels hoping for a good campsite for pre-teens with plenty of activities. And that's what we got.
It is large and very busy, it gets noisy at night, and there are teens everywhere...

That said, it's lovely site, it has a beautiful river running through it, where you can canoe or kayak. It has plenty of pools, a restaurant serving great pizzas and loads of activities. These all cost extra and they aren't cheap, but they are well run with decent instructors. Ds's tried rock climbing, and kayaking and loved both. There is also a large accrobranche (go ape)that we all had a go at...lots of fun. The facilities are new and clean and there was plenty of hot water. We paid for a premium les castels pitch which wasn't worth the money, it was big but right on the crossroads near the toilets. There are some lovely pitches with river frontage....try for one of those.

The downsides are, noisy teens, really expensive wi-fi access, and charging 10 Euro for an hour on a tennis court.Read moreLess
