"Chunky and fun…"

Dd got this car at 2.7 yrs and enjoyed using the steering wheel in make believe games as well as driving the car. She especially liked the horn and revving noises.
Do always switch off both parts or the batteries will go quickly.
A good toy for a car enthusiast!

"Robust and easy to use…"

DS got this toy at 22 months. He loves chasing the car around while we 'drive' it with the steering wheel, and he loves holding it to stop it moving. He enjoys beeping the horn using the remote and tries to drive it as well. He'll get there eventually! Another good game is making us drive it very fast towards the wall and laughing when it crashes.
The car is very sturdy and shows no damage from crashes or toddler use.
We do like this toy.

"Great item that toddler will enjoy for ages!…"
10-Dec-2012
I found the Jimmy Thunder great. My DS (2.3) loved it. It is great to have a remote control car suitable for a 2 year old. The car itself is sturdy and solid and can withstand getting bashed about by a toddler and the remote control in the shape of a steering wheel is v appealing and quite beneficial as I think it improves/encourages their motor skills, I know my toddler at first was just bashing the buttons and it was moving so he was happy enough with this but after a while he did start to realise that one button goes forward and one goes back. The car and steering wheel can be played with separately and without using the remote control aspect. The car is v simple to use and instructions v straight forward. I would highly recommend this. It is great that it is suitable for 2 years olds but I think this is a toy that will last the child a good couple of years and I think my DS will get more enjoyment out of it as he gets older in say a years time and can work the controls better so it’s very good value.

"Sturdy and toddler-friendly remote controlled car…"
27-Nov-2012
The car is nice and chunky, with rounded corners (it looks a bit like a VW Beetle) and no protrusions that could get easily broken or get stuck into eyes etc... Sturdy and well-built given it was not damaged despite the amount of bashing it received. I like the fact that it is a lovely bright green with no gender-specific prints/etc and no tie-ins with films etc. Having a small baby around I also like the fact that there seem to be no small bits that can easily be broken off and swallowed and that the batteries can only be inserted/removed with a screwdriver. There is an on-off switch on both car and remote control and I am positively surprised by the fact that after a month we are still on the first set of batteries (though see the comment below about long-term entertainment value).
DS learnt to drive it quite quickly and absolutely loved it in the beginning. Most visiting children want to play with it non-stop, so we have to remove it after a while. However, I wonder about the long-term interest: after a month, it lives mostly at the bottom of the toybox and DS plays with it only when visiting children fish it out and start to play with it themselves.
