"Interactive and toddler-proof…"
20-Apr-2012
LeapFrog's Leaptop was bought as a last-minute 2nd birthday present, but it was easily the most popular present of the day. By connecting it to the internet, it can be personalised with your child's name and you can choose from a selection of songs.
I was worried that my son would lose interest in the Leaptop, as he has done in the past with other pretend gadgets, but it has really held his attention. He loves the animal noises and the alphabet games, and is starting to get the hang of the pretend emails.
I get the Leaptop out when I want to get some work done on my laptop without having to fight a determined toddler for it. He sits next to me with his own "pooter", and we both get our work done. It's also handy for car journeys. The case is sturdy, and has survived tantrums and random knocks.
My only criticism is that the screen is small. As it isn't backlit, the small screen is difficult to see in low light.
Other than that, it was a great buy.Read moreLessMumsnetter browneyesblue
