"Bought one of these based on Mumsnet reviews and to"
30-Aug-2011
Bought one of these based on Mumsnet reviews and to be honest not that impressed. My daughter can only be described as orally fixated, absolutely everything goes in her mouth - except this teether! I can't understand why she doesn't like it as to me it looks interesting and feels nice. But she is the baby and so it is her opinion that counts.
This is an expensive toy to be ignored at the bottom of the toy box.Read moreLessMumsnetter ThroughTheRoundWindow

I like this, but I don't know that it's the best toy we own. My daughter is almost 6 months and this is easy for her to grab/hold, colourful, soft enough not to matter if she bashes her head with it and portable enough in a changing bag. On the down side, once you've got yoghurt on the inside cube part nothing will clean it but some fiddly brushing with an old toothbrush. I like the Winkel (even in spite of the silly name) but do feel 7/10 is fair.

This was okay, but not the best toy IMO. I bought it for DS when he was just starting to reach out for things. It was easy for him to grab, and he did enjoy chewing it, but he wasn't interested in it for that long.
It had a nasy plasticky taste/smell to it.
Advice on MN was that the Skwish would be better - and the advice was right. I'd definitely recommend that above the Winkel any day.Read moreLess3 people found this review helpful.

This was the first toy my DS played with. He loves it, shakes it, chews it. I am so pleased with it. DS can now play with other toys, I'm sure as a result of learning with this toy.

This is a fantastic toy that we bought at approx 4months. Our son is now 7 months and still uses it alot. Its very easy for them to hold on to at an early age and the colours are fascinating.

A fantastic toy, we always called it 'Wire Toy'. My son would bounce in his neglect-o-matic and chatter away to this toy. It was easy to handle, colourful to look at and safe to chew. It was also light enough so it was ok if he dropped it on his little face (which they all do). We bought 2 and I've kept one in his baby treasure box, so important was it!

Great toy from Manhattan. Easy to pick up for a young baby and they won't get bored easily. Check out the other toys in this range there is a wooden one with elastic in a similar shape called the squish which is always a huge hit with babies from birth because of the sound it makes, but oh joy it has no batteries...

A fantastic nest of soft loops all connected to a rattly cube in the middle.
Great for small hands to grip and soft enough that baby doesn't hurt himself when he inevitably crashes it into his head. Lovely and bright coloured so great for visual stimulation.
And great to chew on when teethingRead moreLessMumsnetter daisyandbabybootoo

This is the first toy that my son has played with. It's easy to hold and he loves having a good chew on the coloured plastic loops. It can also be cooled in the fridge for teething. I would highly recommend this toy.
