07-Dec-2010
If you like waking up to a the dulcet tones of your child screaming "WHEN SANTA GOT STUCK UP THE CHIM - NEY!" down a distorted microphone, accompanied by plicky plonk piano and a dodgy disco beat then this is the toy of choice this Xmas. Great fun.

"This is easy to use and the sounds are acceptable to both adults and children alike." " A way of testing if you're child is interested in piano without the big investment." "Good value for money if a bit noisy and bulky!" "Both my children aged three and five enjoy playing with ours." "Demo tunes, flashing lights and a rhythm section - if you've got a room to hide it (and the noise) this is a great toy!"

Excellent keyboard with lots of features. My son was bought this 2 years ago and it is still a firm favoutite. Downside is that the microphone doesn't always work properly but I have come to realise this may be a bit of a blessing.

"My daughter begged us for over a year to buy…"
15-Mar-2009
My daughter begged us for over a year to buy her the pink version of the ELC Keyboard and stool - so this year for her fourth birthday we caved in!
She was so excited when she unwrapped it that she was shaking!
The keyboard is great. It has a selection of background beats and the option to change the key sounds to other instruments (piano, saxophone, flute etc). Also, it has drum buttons that you can tap and the ability to record and playback special 'performances' by your little one!
It does come with a volume control - which is a relief for parents everywhere! Sadly, the only downside is that the volume control does not effect the microphone - so all 'singing' is in its full loud glory!
It is very good quality and I would recommend it for any budding musicians!Read moreLessMumsnetter cookinmummy

My son loves sitting at the stool and experimenting with the various different sounds and beats on the keyboard. The microphone is fantastic too and he often treats me to his rock and roll rendition of Baa baa black shhep. I'm sure it will be a favourite for many years to come.

Superb. Both boys love it actually (aged 2 and 5). The microphone is the biggest attraction, but lots of good tempos etc too. A bit pricey though.

Great toy, easy to put together and loads of different buttons for them to play with. Microphone looks a bit fragile but they love singing a long with their 'music'.

He loved playing with it at a friends house. Birthday present from granny. He has a great time. I love it as I can hear him on the mike singing 'Ace of spades' & nursery rhymes. 3 the right sort of age as he now loves playing pretend.
