I had stickle bricks which were passe don to my sister, and thirty something years later the same set did for my DS1. Great to chew on, brillaient for little fingers who can't yet match up a lego block, the vibrant colours and interesting shapes give hours of fun for kids and adults. And when the stickles fall of, they look just like hundreds and thousands and we have ended up scooping them off the table and eating them on fairy cakes by mistake!

This is the perfect first construction toy because the pieces are so easy to handle and put together (more so than megablocs). They are quite expensive but are brilliant, really. (They blimmen hurt when you step on them, though!)

"My eldest has adored stickle bricks since he was nearly two." "They are easy to handle and use, colourful and virtually indestructible." "They'll even go in the bath/ paddling pool without damage." "Apart from the very small pieces they're also safe for younger siblings (my youngest liked to chew on one when he was teething)." "Endless hours of fun that fuel the imagination. Definitely a toy that has stood the test of time."
