"Despite the excellent reviews on here, my daughter never played"
30-Nov-2009
Despite the excellent reviews on here, my daughter never played with these. She just scattered the pieces around the house and I seemed to be constantly either picking them up or standing on them!

"These eggs are an absolute bargain at around £5. Both"
02-Mar-2009
These eggs are an absolute bargain at around £5.
Both my children love them, and they have both had hours of fun putting them in and out of their box.
They are neat in their own case too which is great for tidying purposes and for travel.Read moreLessMumsnetter MJreturns

"I bought these eggs because of Mumsnet reviews and I"
01-Mar-2009
I bought these eggs because of Mumsnet reviews and I don't think they live up to the hype. When we first got them dd was pretty amazed but after a couple of plays she seemed uninterested. We leave them boxed up on a shelf an only occasionally does she initiate playing with them on her own unlike her other playthings.

26-Feb-2009
Hide and Squeak eggs were the most successful of all of Father Christmas's presents this year. Endless possibilities - matching faces, shape sorting, using them as missiles (not advised) and making pretend cakes. Both my children have had a lot of fun with them

"Our DD loves these, when she was tiny she liked"
27-Nov-2008
Our DD loves these, when she was tiny she liked the squeeky sound and how tactile they felt, now she is 21 months and loves the organising of putting the tops on and finding the shapes on the bottom to match the egg box. Perfect small neat toy and great value because they last so long!

"Really fantastic and timeless toy for kids big and small..."

Really fantastic and timeless toy for kids big and small...
I bought these for my little brother about 10 years ago and he played with them all the time and I always wondered why. Now I have a 2YO son and IO bought him some for christmas last year he absolutely adores them and the ideas really are endless with them.
He loves using the box to snap like a crocodile, trying to match the shapes, colours and faces that are on the eggs and lately he's been using them to 'cook'. Honestly I'd reccommend these to everyone!!! I'd say they are worth their weight in gold certainly worth every penny of the fiver and to be honest I'd pay more if I had too.
Only one downside is that the tops can get lost easily if your child is a hider like mine but not to worry boys will be boys and all that :DRead moreLessMumsnetter mamadiva

"I have had these eggs since my mum, a health"
04-Nov-2008
I have had these eggs since my mum, a health visitor, saw a child playing with them and bought them for my first son. I have 3 kids, they have all loved them, and every age of visiting child always plays with them too. They are so simple in idea, yet they really fascinate children, they can spend a long time satisfyingly placing the bottm half of the egg in the correct space and then adding the top half. A lovely, cheap, long lasting toy - a must for any parent or child minder

"Every child should have these!! I was given some for"
01-Nov-2008
Every child should have these!! I was given some for my daughter which are now played with by both of them. I bought some for my niece and nephew.
Fun, easy to use, chunky, learning - you can sort shapes, squeak, do "cooking" and "shopping" with them
Just generally great.Read moreLessMumsnetter FlameNPumpkins

"My son was given these eggs for his first birthday"
26-Sep-2007
My son was given these eggs for his first birthday and I can honestly say he played with little else for months. The great thing about these eggs is that they come in their own secure case so are perfect for travelling. For such a simple toy the possibilities for play are very varied. There are shapes and colours to sort as well as faces to match on the eggs and shells. At approx £5.00 I think they are a bargain.

"My kids loved these. The eggs have shape sorting bottoms"
28-Aug-2007
My kids loved these. The eggs have shape sorting bottoms so only fit in one space of the egg box. The tops of the shells 'crack' to reveal multicoloured chicks. If you bash the chicks on the head they squeak. Another great value toy that all three of my children were interested in.
