27-Nov-2008
My son has now got three of these as gifts and he loves all of them. His favourite though, is the toy guitar that has real strings but is small so the right size for him. It doesn't keep its tune at all, but he plays it all the time. That one was from ebay.

"This has been the best buy for my two year old. We bought him the guitar for Christmas and it has hardly left his side. He even sleeps with it." "It's a great size for small kids and so much easier on the ear for adults than electronic guitars." "Because it's so cheap, it doesn't matter if they thrash it about. Ours has taken quite a battering but is still going strong." "The sort of toy that'll stay with them until adulthood."

"Our two and half year old son got a guitar…"
07-Jan-2007
Our two and half year old son got a guitar as a present last Christmas and absolutely loves it. I can't play myself but 'pretend' that I can when he hands it over to me and asks me to sing a nursery rhyme or song with it. Then he takes it and does the same. We do this every morning and every bedtime. As he is developing his speech, the guitar helps him to act out his favourite songs AND he has recently started to make up his own words as he strums!!! He loves it!
