My dcs enjoy collecting these and I think that they are quite well priced as a pocket money toy. There seems to be endless swapping and making up of games with these in our house too so they have yet to be cast aside in favour of some other collectable toy.

My 2 sons were mad on these last year, and I let them buy one packet a week each as a treat; but they soon got bored with them as they didn't actually know what to do with them once they had them! They did swop some and they liked the actual designs and colours but obviously not that much as I have now sold the majority of them on ebay! At least I got some money back for them!

my son has been playing with these for ages now. It plays alsorts of different games with them. He loves sorting them into catergories. Cheap enough to act as a reward too.

Not a bad 'collecting' toy, as the price is very reasonable. My son enjoyed actually playing games (similar to marbles) with them as well.
But as with all fads - he's moved on to something else now.Read moreLessMumsnetter JENNY100

These were all the rage in my DD's class last year (Yr 3). They are now cast aside. However, they were fun at the time, a good pocket money price, the first toy my DD wanted to collect and swap and derived much fun and social interaction with class mates from them.

I was initially very sceptical, as these are highly advertised and seemed very commercial. However, they make a great pocket money toy and all my children (3, 5 and 7) love them.
