We have a 2 and a nearly 5 year old. Elmo is definetly for the 5 year old. It's too fragile to be handled by a 2 year old. The 5 year old does actually enjoy Elmo's constant talking and he follows all his instructions for the games and listens happily to the stories. It's not a bad toy, just not for kids under 3 I think.

Tickle elmo? I wanted to kick him!
This toy is annoying and loud and doesn't actually DO anything other than move a bit and laugh. Not really good to play with other than to make him laugh, which gets old very very quickly.
It is hard plastic under the fur so it's not even a good cuddly toy.Read moreLessMumsnetter purplemonkeydishwasher
