Other mumsnetters comments: "We bought a big box of duplo when my daughter was two and she still plays with it at five. Now our son is two and a half and he loves it too." " You can easily add to the starter set and we've discovered that the smaller lego blocks will actually fit with them as well." "My son (three and a half) builds car parks, my daughter (21 months) builds towers - it's just so versatile!" "It lasts for ages and is great for little fingers and imaginations," "worth every penny!" "It's a classic toy. I remember playing with lego as a child and as soon as my daughter stops putting things in her mouth I hope to acquire from my parents the lego we had as children."

Duplo is very popular with our three year old, Mostly she makes towers, and is just starting to realise she needs to make the bottom wider to stop them falling over. But she has also been branching out into making beds and seats for the little man and other random figures. Duplo comes in lovely colours and seems highly hard-wearing. I like best of all the fact that it tidies into its own custom-made box at the end of the day.
