DD got a pushchair (the slightly more expensive one) from ELC for her 2nd birthday. She duly tried to sit in it herself, and ripped the fabric. I took it back and they changed it without a murmur. A year later, the replacement is still going strong and gets played with almost every day. In terms of

One of the best toys a child can have. When I had dd2, dd1 would love to take her doll out in her buggy.

"Quite simply the best five pounds I've ever spent". "A toddler (boys and girls) who hates walking will walk miles when pushing one of these and if they get fed up they're easy to fold and carry anyway". "My two toddle around for hours with theirs, they take anything and everything for a walk - balls, plates, even dolls occasionally". "Appeals equally to boys and girls; after all they see us pushing prams around all day". "Great value, great toy".

Of all the hundreds of toys, dolls, cars, puzzles etc ... that we've accumulated over my daughter's 20 month existence, none seem as widely loved and frequently played with than the doll pushchair. She's had it for at least a year and while first it was a walking aid - and she walked at 11 mths - it soon became an exciting seated ride for herself. Shortly there after, we went through an unfortunate but brief period where it was a powerful battering ram, but now as she approaches 2 years, it has opened the doors to her imagination. She walks her doll from room to room in it, talking to the doll as she buckels it in and out of the chair. She uses it as a makeshift shopping trolly, carts it around the house 'parking' it in various places, and lines up her dolls so she can give them rides across the living room. This toy just seems to amuse her for far greater amounts of time than any other toys, and it's not just my daughter - she's has some heated tugs of war over it with our friends children who all seem to vary in sex and age (from 12 mths to 6 years) yet they all seem to love it too. No matter where we are (home, creche, friends's, play centres, etc...) there is inevitably one doll pushchair somehwhere in the room and at least 1 kid enchanted and hovering over it.
And finally, this admiration of the toy pram is not limited to kids, as my friends and I also think that it's a great learning toy (especially in combination with a doll). Regardless of whether it is a girl or a boy playing at games of 'life' and role play, it has been proven than imagination play is an essential gateway to higher learning for all children. Not to mention the fact that anything that will keep a young toddler out from under my feet for a little portion of the day, will always be a good friend of mine. =)Read moreLess2 people found this review helpful.

We had to confiscate this for a while, because both children were desparate to use it. It has since been taken over by dd and her doll. Great for rol-playing and imaginary play. But mind the folding - dreadful finger-traps, and no lock to keep it folded.
