Challenger Laptop, V-Tech

We got this for our 4 year old and have been unimpressed. It is really difficult to navigate between games and often difficult to work out how to play the games. The mouse doesn't do much and the keyboard is in upper case making it hard for small children to read. I wouldn't recommend it.

Comments from other mumsnetters: It looks like a 'real' laptop and there are a wide variety of games, suitable for four to five year olds. It has a decent sized screen, and a QUERTY keyboard, which allows the child to get used to a real pc. From the parents' point of view, the music is a little strange, but not too annoying. Also, there is a sliding volume control, rather than a 'loud/even louder' option! Kids learn without realising when playing on the Vtech laptop. It has out lasted loads of other toys in our house.

We bought this laptop for our 4 year old for Christmas and she has played on it so many times. It is easy to carry around and looks like a real laptop with mouse and mouse pad ! Our little girl really feels grown up using this and it has kept coming out of the cupboard time and time again. I would definately recommend this, we got it in the sales at about
