"I decided to write a review as I found it…"
27-Jan-2009
I decided to write a review as I found it hard to find reviews for the type of walker I wanted and in fact still have not found a satisfactory one.
I wanted very specifically a walker with all swivel wheels as opposed to the newer types (and litigation friendly types I assume) with fixed back wheel ie only able to move forward and backward. Finally I had to settle on a cheap one I finally found on ebay that was unbranded. The toys on it were embarrasing and it took me almost 15 mins to put the batteries in. Also cut my finger in the process. However, the reason I'm writing this review is so that hopefully other parent's will contribute their opinions.
I wanted a fully mobile one so that my child could go in any direction she chooses, as any moving person can. I didn't think that it was natural for her to move only in straight lines. Also, it meant that I would probably have to constantly get her out of corners when she invariable gets stuck.
Its given her a new lease in life and as she has been standing with support since 4 months (she's now 6), this to me is a natural progression and it saves my arms from constantly having to prop her up.
I don't really buy all those arguments about it being a dangerous toy etc. I believe that if a parent can't provide a level surface for their child due to whatever reason, then they should probably forego this item but its so great for kids and its very fulfilling watching your child explore as they choose to.Read moreLessMumsnetter sagalsmith

I bought one for my eldest for her first Christmas (about 6 months old) - the blocks and trolley thingy are still being used by her 5 years on, and her younger brother.
They help walking, they help co-ordination, counting, colours - you name it, you can do it. FabulousRead moreLess1 person found this review helpful.

Longest lasting toy ever - the way it gets played with are endless. Both my 1 year old and my 3year old play with it (them; we've got 2..) every day; learning to walk, walking the baby/horse/shopping/each other. Plus they are usually easy to find cheap at boot sales/ charity shops.

One of the best toys we have bought. We have had it for 1 year now and it's still the favourite in our house. The bricks get built with, identify colours, taking bricks in and out of the walker and using the walker for other carrying devices!

10/10 FANTASTIC TOY FOR A BABY JUST LEARNING TO WALK - MY (NEARLY) ONE-YEAR-OLD HAS BEEN TODDLING UP AND DOWN THE HALL WITH IT FOR AS LONG AS WE HAVE THE PATIENCE TO FOLLOW HER AND KEEP TURNING HER ROUND WHEN SHE GETS TO THE WALL! AND WHEN WE GET BORED WITH THAT SHE SPENDS AGES TAKING ALL THE BRICKS OUT AND LOADING THEM BACK IN AGAIN... BUY ONE!
