"DS loves this now - he was transfixed by it"
09-Sep-2010
DS loves this now - he was transfixed by it for a few days when we first got it (he was 6 months or so), but he didn't start playing with it himself until about 10 months old. Now it's perfect for keeping him occupied in the car!

Comments from other mumsnetters:"A simple idea that's great for co-ordination and visual and aural stimulation". "It causes a great diversion when my baby is grizzly and needs quick entertainment, like in the queue at the supermarket". "You can carry it in your handbag, get it out in the car, doctors or wherever else". "It calmed our son right from when he was a tiny baby". Plus it's "great value".

DD1 loved this and now so does DD2 - although I agree with the comment about making your own - however since I am a slummy mummy I'd suggest good old ELC :)

Really simple and easy, fantastic for a young baby. The look of wonder as all the pieces drop down is great to see and not too noisy either!

This was given to us by a friend, and my five month old daughter is absolutely transfixed - it makes a lovely noise (not too grating) and is very pretty. She hasn't learnt how to 'play' with it herself yet (she just watches while I turn it over), but will love it even more when she does, I'm sure.

rate 7. Eoghan is 10months and his physical development is a little slow, he still can't sit up properly so this toy has been a real hit. He can play happily with it lying on his back,it keeps him engaged and doesn't hurt too much when he whacks himself on the head with it! A very simple idea well designed.
